What it does

Tickets sold on your own website

Ticket types with prices and numbers, early bird windows that open and close by themselves, hidden types for a guest list, promo codes and “4 for the price of 3” deals, paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay into your own account. Gradespace takes nothing per ticket.

A QR code on every ticket

Emailed the moment the payment is confirmed and kept on the buyer’s own page, where they can save each QR code, add the night to their calendar or give a ticket to a friend (the old code stops working). Refund one ticket or the whole order.

The door on a phone

Scan QR codes with the phone’s camera, type a ticket number or find a guest by name. A ticket gets in once, even with two doors, and the door keeps working on bad signal, sending check-ins when the signal is back.

DJ bookings with deposits

A Book us form (add your own questions), requests in stages from New to Booked, a warning when a date is already taken, and a deposit link that moves the booking to Booked once it’s paid.

Points and reps (Pro)

Points for every £1 on tickets, for coming and for bringing a friend, social tasks your team checks, rewards with a code for the bar or the door, and reps with their own link, code and commission.

Questions

Does Gradespace take a cut of my ticket sales?
No. Tickets are paid through your own Stripe account (or WooCommerce), straight to you. Gradespace takes nothing per ticket. You can add your own booking fee per ticket, call it what you like, or have none at all.
How do people get their tickets?
As soon as the payment is confirmed, the buyer is emailed every ticket with its QR code and a calendar file, and gets a page of their own with the same tickets. They can save each QR code to their photos, get the email again, add the night to their calendar or give a ticket to a friend. My tickets lets them sign in with a link sent to their email, with no password, to see all their tickets.
What happens at the door if the signal is bad?
The door page keeps the night’s list on the phone, so it still checks tickets when the signal drops, and sends the check-ins when it’s back. A ticket can only get in once, even with two doors scanning at the same time; if two phones let the same ticket in while offline, the second is shown as a clash when they sync.
Can I sell tickets at the door or add a guest list?
Yes. Door staff can sell tickets at the door (paid in person) and find guests by name. A hidden ticket type with an unlock code works as a guest list or a members’ ticket, and staff can add guests by hand from the event’s Tickets screen.
How do points and reps work?
On Pro, buyers earn points for every £1 they spend on tickets, for coming and for bringing a friend, and for social tasks such as following you, which your team checks before the points count (with your Meta app approved, an Instagram follow can be checked automatically). Points are swapped for rewards with a code to show at the bar or the door. Reps sign up, you approve them, and they sell with their own link and code; their sales and commission are tracked for you to pay out.
Is it a one-off payment?
Yes. You pay once, the licence lasts for life and every future update is included. There are no renewals or subscriptions.
What do I need to run it?
A WordPress website (6.8 or later, PHP 8.0 or later) on any ordinary host. You install the free Gradespace Core plugin, the kit’s plugin and its theme, then the setup wizard walks you through the rest.
What counts as a website?
One licence covers one live website (Agency covers 5). Local and staging copies (localhost, .local, .test, staging.… and dev.… addresses) are free and never use up your licence.
Can you install it for me?
Yes. Done-for-you installation is from £99: we install Gradespace Core, the kit and its theme on your hosting, activate your licence, run the setup wizard with your details and hand it over with a short walkthrough. Complete setup and customisation, from £299, adds your content, bookings, forms and emails, small design tweaks, redirects from your old site, a staff training session and 30 days of help after launch. The price depends on your hosting and the size of the site, and is agreed before we start. Prices include VAT where it applies, and the kit licence is bought separately. Can I change the design later?
Yes. Choose a different design and colour palette in Site Settings → Design & colours at any time; your content stays as it is. You can preview a choice privately before visitors see it.
How do updates work?
Updates come from thegradespace.com and install with one click from the WordPress Updates screen. Each release is tested against the current version of WordPress first, and says which version it’s tested up to.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Move from Starter to Pro or Agency by paying the difference, from your licences page or from the kit’s Licence tab in WordPress. Your key stays the same.
Refunds
14-day money-back: if the kit isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of buying for a full refund (the licence is then switched off).
