What it does
Services with a price guide
Each service has its own page with a “from” price (or “Price on quote”), what’s included and how long it usually takes. The setup wizard starts you with services for your trade.
A page for every town you cover
Each area page has its own words, postcodes and services. Pages without their own words, or with another town’s words and the name changed, are flagged and kept out of search engines until they have them.
Quote requests with photos
Customers give the job, postcode, when and a budget, and add photos. Requests land in a pipeline (New, Contacted, Survey booked, Quoted, Won or Lost, then Job done) with notes, an owner and the full history.
Your work and why to trust you
A project gallery with before and after photos, filtered by service and area, testimonials with star ratings, accreditations with your number and a link to check it, and links to your review pages.
Quotes, survey visits and reviews (Pro)
Email a quote customers accept or decline online, let them pick a free survey time, and send a review request once a job is won or done. Add a pipeline board, a CSV export and requests sent by area.
Three designs and real photos
Workshop, Local Pro and Blueprint, each with seven colour palettes, and sample photos from Pexels with the photographers credited.
Who it’s for
Plumbers, heating engineers and emergency trades
A big call button and a call and WhatsApp bar on phones, a “from” price for every job, and quote requests with photos of the problem.
Electricians, decorators and handymen
Your accreditations with their numbers and a link to check them, real reviews with star ratings, and a page for each town you work in.
Builders, extensions, lofts and kitchens
Projects with before and after photos, quote requests that move from survey to quoted to won, and on Pro survey visits and quotes accepted online.
What you’d otherwise put together
A site like this usually means choosing several products from different makers and getting them to work together. A kit is one thing, made to fit.
Putting it together yourself
- A premium theme for trades
- A form plugin with photo uploads and spam protection
- An enquiry or job tracking app to follow each request from new to won
- A quoting app for quotes customers accept online
- An SEO plugin and a hand-built page for each town
- Setting it all up and keeping it working together after every update
One kit: Gradespace Trades
- Website, design and features designed and built together
- One licence, paid once
- One setup wizard that adds the pages, menu and sample content
- Updates for the plugin and theme tested together
Ready-made staff roles come with every tier; choosing exactly what each role can do needs Pro or Agency.
What’s included
One payment, a lifetime licence and every future update. Each tier includes everything in the one before.

How updates, your licence, your data and help work, now and later.
How updates work
Updates come straight from thegradespace.com, over a secure connection with time-limited download links for your licensed site. They install with one click from the WordPress Updates screen, like any other plugin. We test each release against the current version of WordPress before it goes out, and every release says which WordPress version it’s tested up to.
What “lifetime licence” means
You pay once. The licence lasts for life and every future update is included: there are no renewals or subscriptions. If our server can’t be reached, your site carries on as it is.
Your data stays on your website
Bookings, records, messages and content are kept in your own WordPress database, on your own hosting. There is no Gradespace cloud. Our server only sees your licence key and website address, when your site checks its licence and updates.
Help when you need it
Every kit comes with a step-by-step getting-started guide and a printable guide for your staff. For anything else, write to us and we’ll help.
Contact usTest copies are free
Local and staging copies of your site (localhost, .local, .test, staging.… and dev.… addresses) never use up your licence.
14-day money-back
If a kit isn’t right for you, ask within 14 days of buying for a full refund.
Questions
- Can customers accept a quote online?
- Yes, on Pro. Write a quote from the request with a line for each thing you’ll do or supply, VAT on or off and a “valid until” date. The customer gets a link to a page with your logo, the lines and the total, which they can print or save as a PDF, and buttons to accept or decline. The request moves to Won or Lost by itself. A sent quote never changes: Change it withdraws it and starts a new draft.
- How do the town pages avoid looking copied?
- Each area page needs a few sentences of its own. A page with fewer than 60 words, or mostly the same words as another area once the town’s name is swapped, is flagged in the list and on Today, and is kept out of search engines and the sitemap until it has its own. Towns you add in a list are made as drafts for you to write and publish.
- Can customers book a survey visit?
- Yes, on Pro. From a request, email the customer a link: they see your free survey times, pick one, get a calendar invite and a reminder the day before, and can cancel from the same link. You set the hours, how long a visit takes, the travel time kept free after each visit and your days off. Two customers can never get the same time.
- Who sees each request and its photos?
- Photos are checked for type and size and kept private: only staff who can see the request can open them, and they’re deleted with it. New requests go to the person you choose, or on Pro to each area’s own person, and Estimators see only the requests given to them. Everything stays in your own WordPress database; our server only sees your licence key and website address.
- Is it a one-off payment?
- Yes. You pay once, the licence lasts for life and every future update is included. There are no renewals or subscriptions.
- What do I need to run it?
- A WordPress website (6.8 or later, PHP 8.0 or later) on any ordinary host. You install the free Gradespace Core plugin, the kit’s plugin and its theme, then the setup wizard walks you through the rest.
- What counts as a website?
- One licence covers one live website (Agency covers 5). Local and staging copies (localhost, .local, .test, staging.… and dev.… addresses) are free and never use up your licence.
- Can you install it for me?
- Yes. Done-for-you installation is from £99: we install Gradespace Core, the kit and its theme on your hosting, activate your licence, run the setup wizard with your details and hand it over with a short walkthrough. Complete setup and customisation, from £299, adds your content, bookings, forms and emails, small design tweaks, redirects from your old site, a staff training session and 30 days of help after launch. The price depends on your hosting and the size of the site, and is agreed before we start. Prices include VAT where it applies, and the kit licence is bought separately. Ask for a quote on our contact page.
- Can I change the design later?
- Yes. Choose a different design and colour palette in Site Settings → Design & colours at any time; your content stays as it is. You can preview a choice privately before visitors see it.
- How do updates work?
- Updates come from thegradespace.com and install with one click from the WordPress Updates screen. Each release is tested against the current version of WordPress first, and says which version it’s tested up to.
- Can I upgrade later?
- Yes. Move from Starter to Pro or Agency by paying the difference, from your licences page or from the kit’s Licence tab in WordPress. Your key stays the same.
- Refunds
- 14-day money-back: if the kit isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of buying for a full refund (the licence is then switched off).
