What it does
Services with real times and prices
Photos, minutes with the client plus processing and finishing time, gaps before or after, fixed or “from” prices, and a different time and price for particular stylists.
Your team’s own calendars
Each stylist has their own hours, breaks, days off and gaps. Clients book one or more services with a named stylist or “anyone”, and only truly free times are offered.
Patch tests, reminders and changes
Services can need a patch test: if a client hasn’t had one, a free test is booked at least 48 hours before. Clients get reminders and a link to move or cancel.
Deposits, vouchers and loyalty (Pro)
Take a deposit when clients book, through Stripe directly or the WooCommerce checkout. Sell gift vouchers and packages, and give a loyalty stamp card.
The diary and client records
A diary with a column per stylist, client records with visits, patch-test dates and notes, and Stylist and Reception roles that see only what they need.
Four designs and real photos
Blush, Barbershop, Studio and Luxe, each with seven colour palettes, and sample photos from Pexels with the photographers credited.
Who it’s for
Hair and beauty salons
Cuts, colour and treatments with real times and prices, each stylist’s own calendar, and patch tests checked when clients book colour.
Barbers
A price board, a “walk-ins welcome” strip with today’s wait, online booking with your barbers or “anyone”, and on Pro a loyalty stamp card.
Spas, nail, lash and skin studios
Treatments with processing and finishing time, gaps for clean-up, and on Pro courses of visits sold up front as packages.
What you’d otherwise put together
A site like this usually means choosing several products from different makers and getting them to work together. A kit is one thing, made to fit.
Putting it together yourself
- A premium theme
- A booking plugin with a calendar per stylist and buffers between appointments
- A deposits or payments add-on
- A gift voucher plugin
- An add-on for staff accounts and roles
- Setting it all up and keeping it working together after every update
One kit: Gradespace Salon
- Website, design and features designed and built together
- One licence, paid once
- One setup wizard that adds the pages, menu and sample content
- Updates for the plugin and theme tested together
Ready-made staff roles come with every tier; choosing exactly what each role can do needs Pro or Agency.
What’s included
One payment, a lifetime licence and every future update. Each tier includes everything in the one before.

How updates, your licence, your data and help work, now and later.
How updates work
Updates come straight from thegradespace.com, over a secure connection with time-limited download links for your licensed site. They install with one click from the WordPress Updates screen, like any other plugin. We test each release against the current version of WordPress before it goes out, and every release says which WordPress version it’s tested up to.
What “lifetime licence” means
You pay once. The licence lasts for life and every future update is included: there are no renewals or subscriptions. If our server can’t be reached, your site carries on as it is.
Your data stays on your website
Bookings, records, messages and content are kept in your own WordPress database, on your own hosting. There is no Gradespace cloud. Our server only sees your licence key and website address, when your site checks its licence and updates.
Help when you need it
Every kit comes with a step-by-step getting-started guide and a printable guide for your staff. For anything else, write to us and we’ll help.
Contact usTest copies are free
Local and staging copies of your site (localhost, .local, .test, staging.… and dev.… addresses) never use up your licence.
14-day money-back
If a kit isn’t right for you, ask within 14 days of buying for a full refund.
Questions
- Can clients pay a deposit when they book?
- Yes, on Pro. Set a fixed amount, a percentage or the full price per service. The client pays on a secure card page through Stripe directly or the WooCommerce checkout, and the time is held while they pay. When a client cancels in time, the deposit is refunded or kept according to your setting. Bookings without a deposit don’t need payment.
- How do patch tests work?
- Tick “Needs a patch test” on a service. When booking, clients say whether they’ve had one recently; if not, the website books a free patch test with the same stylist at least 48 hours before, and refuses the booking when there isn’t time. A reminder goes out about two days before.
- Does it sell products and gift vouchers?
- Products sell through the free WooCommerce plugin, with collection in the salon. Gift vouchers (Pro, with online payments on) can be bought online for an amount or a named treatment, taken in the salon, and used towards a deposit.
- Where are client records kept?
- In your own WordPress database, on your own hosting. Records come up for review after the period you choose and nothing is deleted automatically; WordPress’s personal data export and erase tools include them. Our server only sees your licence key and website address.
- Is it a one-off payment?
- Yes. You pay once, the licence lasts for life and every future update is included. There are no renewals or subscriptions.
- What do I need to run it?
- A WordPress website (6.8 or later, PHP 8.0 or later) on any ordinary host. You install the free Gradespace Core plugin, the kit’s plugin and its theme, then the setup wizard walks you through the rest.
- What counts as a website?
- One licence covers one live website (Agency covers 5). Local and staging copies (localhost, .local, .test, staging.… and dev.… addresses) are free and never use up your licence.
- Can you install it for me?
- Yes. Done-for-you installation is from £99: we install Gradespace Core, the kit and its theme on your hosting, activate your licence, run the setup wizard with your details and hand it over with a short walkthrough. Complete setup and customisation, from £299, adds your content, bookings, forms and emails, small design tweaks, redirects from your old site, a staff training session and 30 days of help after launch. The price depends on your hosting and the size of the site, and is agreed before we start. Prices include VAT where it applies, and the kit licence is bought separately. Ask for a quote on our contact page.
- Can I change the design later?
- Yes. Choose a different design and colour palette in Site Settings → Design & colours at any time; your content stays as it is. You can preview a choice privately before visitors see it.
- How do updates work?
- Updates come from thegradespace.com and install with one click from the WordPress Updates screen. Each release is tested against the current version of WordPress first, and says which version it’s tested up to.
- Can I upgrade later?
- Yes. Move from Starter to Pro or Agency by paying the difference, from your licences page or from the kit’s Licence tab in WordPress. Your key stays the same.
- Refunds
- 14-day money-back: if the kit isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of buying for a full refund (the licence is then switched off).
